What we believe

Welcome Evangelical Church is a family based church centred around Jesus.
Our desire is to teach His Word and reach His world.
Relationships matter to us and we have a special place in our hearts for young people.
We are an independent Evangelical Church that welcomes Christians from all backgrounds to worship with us.

Declaration of Faith
The Holy Bible, in the Old and New Testaments, is God's Word - inspired and interpreted by the Holy Spirit for our guidance and spiritual knowledge.

The Eternal God has revealed Himself as three co-equal persons, presented as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created the universe by His power, and will eventually introduce a sinless new creation.

Through Adam’s sin, human nature is incapable of human improvement, and a new birth into God’s family, through the work of the Holy Spirit, is essential for any participation with Him in the fellowship known as the Body of Christ on Earth.

Jesus Christ the Son, being born of Mary, a virgin, became a man, lived a sinless life, and died to redeem us from sin and Satan's power. God raised Him from the dead, and He ascended bodily into heaven to justify repentant sinners who by faith believe in Him. He lives to plead with God on their behalf.

The Lord Jesus commanded such believers to be baptised in water, and remember Him in the Lord's Supper.

The Church of God is one, and every true believer confessing the Name of the Lord Jesus may take communion at the Lord's Supper.

There is a resurrection of the dead, and that Jesus will come again for members of His Church. He will be recognised as King of Kings, and will judge the wicked dead with everlasting punishment.

Where are we?
The church is located on the junction of High Street and Witan Way. The car park entrance is at the rear of the building.

From the High Street, turn into Witan Way and then right into the car park. Approaching, from Witan Way, the car park entrance is on the left just before the church building.
